Terms of Use
Terms of Use
1. Purpose
These terms of use govern access to BUDO Events™ and the use of its services. BUDO Events™ allows users in particular to consult, filter, suggest, and share information relating to traditional Japanese martial arts events, as well as to subscribe to public calendars.
2. Acceptance
Any use of the service implies acceptance of these terms in their current version. When a function requires an account, the person registering confirms this acceptance at the time of registration. Anyone who does not accept these rules must stop using the functions concerned.
3. Access and availability
Viewing the calendar is free of charge, excluding equipment and connection costs. BUDO Events™ strives to ensure the availability of the service, without guaranteeing continuous operation. Access may be limited or interrupted for maintenance, updates, security, or due to circumstances beyond the control of BUDO Events™.
4. Personal account
The account holder provides accurate information and keeps it up to date. They choose a sufficiently strong password, keep their credentials confidential, and promptly inform BUDO Events™ of any unauthorized use. No account may be created under another person's identity or used to bypass a suspension or restriction.
5. Organizations and shared rights
Any account holder may request to join an organization. This membership may require approval from an authorized person. Validated account members may have shared rights over events associated with this organization. Any person concerned must therefore act loyally and respect the organization's decisions.
6. Submitted content
The person who submits texts, images, links, or information remains responsible for them. They warrant their accuracy at the time of submission, confirm that they have the necessary permissions, and ensure that such content does not infringe the law or the rights, reputation, or privacy of any third party.
In particular, unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, hateful, violent, defamatory content, advertising unrelated to the purpose of the service, as well as malicious files or files likely to disrupt the operation of BUDO Events™, are prohibited.
7. License required for the service
Any person who submits content grants BUDO Events™ a free license to host, reproduce, technically adapt, translate, display, and distribute it to the extent necessary for the operation, indexing, and promotion of the service. This authorization is non-exclusive and applies for as long as the content is published, subject to backups, archives, and legal obligations.
8. Moderation
Creations and modifications intended for the public may be reviewed before validation. BUDO Events™ may correct, refuse, hide, or delete content that is manifestly inaccurate, off-topic, or contrary to these terms. The existence of moderation does not transfer to BUDO Events™ responsibility for the content provided.
9. Event information
Unless otherwise stated, BUDO Events™ does not organize the listed events, does not sell their services, and does not manage registrations. Before any travel, payment, or registration, each interested person must verify directly with the responsible organization the dates, location, prices, insurance, access conditions, and cancellations.
10. Intellectual property
The structure of the service, its software, its visual identity, and its own content are protected by the rules applicable to intellectual property. Trademarks, photographs, posters, and texts belonging to people using the service or to third parties remain the property of the entities holding the rights. Any unauthorized substantial extraction or reuse is prohibited, subject to the exceptions provided by law.
11. Links and third-party services
The service may contain links to sites, maps, calendars, or tools operated by third parties. BUDO Events™ does not control their availability, security, or content. Anyone using these services must consult their own terms before providing data to them or carrying out any operation.
12. Liability
BUDO Events™ implements reasonable means to provide a useful and secure service, without guaranteeing the permanent accuracy of all information published by third parties. Within the limits set by law, BUDO Events™ shall not be liable for damages resulting from participation in an event, outdated information, a third-party service, or non-compliant use.
13. Account suspension and deletion
An account or certain functions may be suspended in the event of abuse, fraud, security breaches, or repeated failure to comply. The account holder may request deactivation from the interface. Certain data may be retained when required by law, service security, or the defense of legitimate rights.
14. Changes to the terms
These terms may evolve with the service or regulations. The version and its date are published on this page. A significant change may be subject to specific notice.
15. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of difficulty, the parties will first seek an amicable solution. Mandatory rules relating to competent jurisdiction and, where applicable, consumer mediation remain applicable.
